One key part is to learn how to create rapport! People feel comfortable, and like to be with other people that are similar to themselves.
If your prospect feels like they have things in common with you, if they feel that "rapport" with you, they will be more likely to join your team.
Here are 3 tips to help you create this rapport,
#1 How do they speak? Fast? Slow? What words do they use. Feeling words, or visual words? Try and use the same "speak" pattern.
For example, if the person you chatting with uses the word "freeway", when you would normally say "highway", use the word "freeway" in your response to them.
Or if you would normally say "team member", but they used the terminology "business builder", use their words back to them.
It's not to mimic them, it's to make them feel comfortable with you.
#2 Listening. You've probably heard the saying...
God gave you two ears and one mouth, use them proportionately.
Don't talk to much. Don't dominate the conversation. Don't be the "hero" of the story.
Don't sell them, don't "tell" them. That will never create a rapport with your prospect. Instead, learn how to listen, and then learn how to ask the right questions.
#3 Ask another question, and listen. And then repeat#
These simple exercises can help you create rapport with anyone, anytime.
The same principles can be used in texting, messaging & emailing. Use your prospect's style and language in all of your communications with them.
Being in zinc with someone is a compliment. it means your can put yourself aside to pay complete attention to your prospect.
