Here are 2 Lessons!
# 1 Unless you have a special friend or family member, DON"T talk to your friends or your family about business!
Going against this is the kiss of death for most networkers.
I know many of the gurus say you should make a list of 100 friends and family. DON'T DO IT!
Unless you are in a special circle, this can be what will take you down, and out!
I learned the hard way on this one, and maybe you have too.
Your family and friends are NOT on the same wave lenght, and they will try and talk you out of it, even ridicule you. So why set yourself up for this?
This kind of rejection, from loved ones, is brutal! It's at times even devastating.
There are billions of people you can talk to, especially now with social media and messaging being "the new talk"!
#2 Learn how to have a powerful... a magical... conversation with people. All of a sudden you will have people who respond to you. People who are on the same wavelength as you.
It does take a learned skill to know HOW to talk and CLOSE your prospects!
But it's fun, it's interesting, it's non confrontational.
And then the frosting on the cake came when I learned even more from my good friend and colleague, Debbie!
You won't feel down and out at the end of the day anymore!
